Verizon Wirelss has just already announced 10 devices for consumer that will run on their 4G LTE network by the middle of 2011. Verizon unveil the device at a news conference at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The company expects these devices will be available by mid-2011, with some available as early as March 2011.
Here are 10 devices that run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network by the middle of 2011 :
1. HTC ThunderBolt, This smartphone comes with HTC Sense 2.0, Skype mobile with video, 4.3-inch WVGA display, Dolby surround sound, 8-megapixel camera with HD video capture, and is powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor.
2. LG Revolution, This handset also runs on Android OS, Froyo. Boasting a large 4.3-inch touch screen, video telephony support with front-facing camera and mobile hotspot capability to share a 4G connection with up to eight Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
3. DROID Bionic 4G. This is also an Android Smartphone. This handset sports 4.3-inch HD quality screen, HDMI connectivity, front-facing VGA camera, 8MP camera, and is powered by dual-core 1GHz processor and 512 DDR2 RAM.
4. Samsung 4G LTE Smartphone. I think this is Samsung SCH-i520, this handset also runs on Android 2.2 mobile OS with integration of Google Mobile services. This upcoming 4G phone features 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen display, powerful 1GHz application processor, 8MP camera with LED flash and front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera.
5. Motorola XOOM, this is not a handset, but it’s a tablet with 10.1-inch display. The tablet will run on Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). It features 1080p HD video, Adobe Flash Player, front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video chats and 5-megapixel camera to capture video in 720P HD.
6. 4G LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Tab. Still from tablet device, manufactured by Samsung and sports 7-inch enhanced TFT display with 1024 x 600 WSVGA resolution. Will runs on Android 2.2 and is powered by 1.2GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird application processor. It has 5MP camera on the rear and 1.3MP camera on the front.
7. Novatel MiFi 4510L Intelligent Mobile Hotspot. Let’s move to another device, there is a MiFi. You can use this device to share Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE and 3G networks with up to 5 Wi-Fi-enabled devices like notebook, smartphone or tablet.
8. Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot. This is a Dual-mode device which works as a wireless access point to connect up to 5 Wi-Fi-enabled devices to Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE or 3G networks.
9. Compaq CQ10-688nr. Another device is a notebook PC, the CQ10-688nr features 10.1-inch widescreen LED display and powered by Intel Atom N455 processor. This netbook is equipped with battery which deliver up to 8.5 hours of battery life.
10. HP Pavilion dm1-3010nr. The last is still from laptop device. The Pavilion dm1-3010nr sports 11.6-inches display, 320 GB of storage, VISION Technology from AMD, Dolby Advanced Audio, GPS for mapping and navigation, and also comes with battery that deliver up to 10.75 hours of battery life.
Verizon Wireless also announced it is expanding its 4G LTE network to an additional 140 markets by the end of 2011. Source Verizon
